Alison Cynamon
Alison Cynamon originally trained and practiced as an urban planner before becoming an illustrator and author. Her mixed media approach to illustration combines brush ink line and textures with digital color palettes. She loves infusing whimsy and magic into the mundane. Alison grew up in a small town on the coast of Maine, spent some time in Canada and London, and now lives in Brooklyn with her husband, daughter, and their dog Stevie.
Loves to draw: Mischievous kids making a mess; animals and plants acting like humans; anthropomorphized objects; foliage-filled natural landscapes and wonky urban landscapes; quirky costumes; and imaginative maps.
